About Structural Integration (SI)

What It Is

Structural Integration (SI), also known as Rolfing, is hands-on bodywork that uses gentle, precise pressure combined with movement and breath. The goal is to realign the body, release chronic tension, and create lasting changes in posture and movement.

Most people notice benefits from just one session, and deeper transformation comes from the classic 10-Series, a sequence designed by Dr. Ida Rolf to rebalance the entire body from head to toe.

Who It Helps

SI is for anyone who wants to feel more at ease and aligned in their body. Clients often come in because of:

  • Chronic pain or tension

  • Recovery from injury, surgery, pregnancy, or trauma

  • Athletic stress or postural imbalances from modern life

  • A desire for long-term solutions instead of “quick fixes”

Results clients commonly report include:

  • Relief from pain and tightness

  • Better balance and mobility

  • Feeling lighter, more youthful, and resilient

  • Noticeable improvements in posture

  • A greater sense of physical and emotional wholeness

What a Session is Like

Conversation & Assessment – We discuss your goals, notice how your body moves, and identify where support is needed.

Hands-On Work – You remain comfortably clothed (in activewear or similar) while I apply gentle, supportive pressure to release tension and free movement. You may be invited to make small, easy movements during the work.

Integration – Each session ends with grounding and balancing so changes feel natural and lasting.

Sessions are always collaborative, safe, and respectful. The pressure is adjusted to your comfort level, and the work should feel relieving—not painful.

The 10-Series

The 10-Series is a step-by-step process that systematically works through the body:

  • Sessions 1–3: Open and balance the outer layers (breath, feet, legs, shoulders)

  • Sessions 4–7: Work deeper into the pelvis, core, and spine

  • Sessions 8–10: Integrate everything into whole-body balance

Each session builds on the last, creating changes that continue to develop for months.

My Approach & Policies

  • I’ll always be honest if I don’t believe SI will benefit you.

  • Sessions are professional, safe, and non-sexual.

  • Clear communication and consent are central to the work.

  • Please provide 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.

In short: SI is more than bodywork—it’s a reset for your whole system. It helps you move with freedom, stand with ease, and feel at home in your body again.
